ATHLETE EVALUATION

"API has helped me a great deal. I have improved greatly in my flexibility, strength and speed. The coaches work us to our highest ability while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere. All the athletes support each other and help drive each other to achieve their maximum potential. I would not have been able to improve my physical strength and endurance without the help of the API team. I appreciate all that they have done for me and look forward to continuing to train with them in the future."

2009 Collegiate Winter Program

Collegiate Athletes (ages 18+)

A select program for current collegiate athletes. Each athlete has the opportunity to create a personalized training program incorporating their school issued training program and API SD-DC training sessions.

Resistance Training (RT)

Open weight room for collegiate athletes. Each athlete will guided through the training program issued by their collegiate strength and conditioning program in a athlete-receptive training environment. An API coach will be available throughout each session to assist each athlete with their training program.

Speed Development-Directional Change (SD-DC)

Speed, a measure of how fast an athlete can sprint short distances, will be trained and enhanced as a consistent part of a well-rounded training program. Directional Change (Agility) occurs in all planes of motion: side-to-side, forward-to-backward, backward-to-forward, 45°, 90°, 180°, 360° and every ° and direction in between. An athlete trained to make a quick and efficient directional change will improve in all phases of sport performance. API's high school SD-DC program will emphasize:

  • Dynamic Flexibility
  • Multi-Directional Agility
  • Linear Speed Development
  • Foot Speed
