To our API Community,

At API, the safety and well-being of our employees, athletes, and patrons has always been our top priority. In the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our mission continues to be to provide a safe environment for the best youth sports programs, camps, and facilities in the state of Maryland.

API’s current COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines continue to evolve with the ever-changing State and local government mandates and requirements. Please see below for our current health and safety guidelines and operational procedures.

  1. Face CoveringsFace Coverings: Effective Wednesday, January 12, 2022 - After further clarification from Anne Arundel County Department of Health, face coverings are not required while athletes are on the “field of play” or engaged in another physical activity. Athletes are expected to wear a face covering when entering and exiting the building and while on the sidelines. Coaches are required to wear a face covering at all times while indoors..
  2. Physical DistancingPhysical Distancing: Practice/training agendas will promote physical distancing (greater than 6’) and limit contact.  Close contact activities are prohibited.
  3. SpectatorsSpectators: Due to physical distancing limitations, spectators are prohibited for all sports practices, training programs, clinics, and skills sessions. (1) Spectator per player is permitted to attend league and tournament games. Spectators are required to wear a face covering at all times while indoors. Spectators are permitted inside only when their team is playing and must exit the building immediately following the completion of each game. Birthday Parties: For All-Sport Kids Academy birthday parties, the host and one other adult are allowed to be present, no other spectators.
  4. HygieneHygiene: API strongly recommends that all coaches and players carry a personal/individual bottle of hand sanitizer to use before, during and after training/practice. There are hand sanitizing stations throughout API’s facilities, and we encourage all athletes, coaches, and organizational staff to use them frequently.
  5. Covid TestPositive COVID Cases: Coaches and/or Team Representatives should follow CDC protocols regarding positive cases within their team/organization. Any coaches or players showing COVID related symptoms are kindly asked not to attend team activities at API.

Thank you,

API Leadership Team
