SOFTBALL LESSONS
API and TNT Maryland USA have partnered to create a unique travel softball program with Total Player Development as the foundation of the program. The TNT Softball Coaching Staff is made up of former collegiate players and includes dedicated pitching, hitting, and slapping coaches as well as a college recruiting coordinator.
Private lessons are an excellent way to improve specific areas of your game, get more reps, and achieve a higher level of skills and sports performance. API private lessons are 100% customized to the individual athlete to achieve accelerated development. MEET THE COACHES
Coach Kelly Burke
Kelly Burke has been coaching fastpitch softball 10-18U at the highest level since 2010. Kelly help found TNT Maryland and currently coaches with three teams. He coaches varsity softball at Severna Park High School, 18U TNT Maryland National, and 10U TNT Maryland/ API. Kelly started playing softball in 1984. He has over 30 years of experience playing, coaching, and managing softball teams. He has participated in over 4,000 games and coached over 1,000 games. Kelly has won several state championships, all-state awards, and tournament MVPs. Highlights of his softball career include winning the 2018 4A high school state championship and being part of the 2022 USSSA Hall of Fame class.

Coach Mackenzie Gorczyca
Mackenzie Gorczyca is a freshman softball player at Towson University, where she plays infield and hits, with a strong background in pitching and outfield. An Exercise Science major, she aspires to become a college softball coach. Mackenzie is passionate about working with players who are committed to putting in the effort to improve their game and reach their full potential. Let's get better together!

Coach Nyae' Dick
Growing up in Maryland, Nyae’ has enjoyed playing travel softball with TNT Maryland and now competes at the division 1 level at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. Nyae’ is currently a junior graduate student pursuing her master’s degree in exercise science. In May 2024, Nyae’ also graduated with her bachelor’s degree in biology. As a student athlete, Nyae’ thrives in athletic environments and looks forward to pursuing a career in the sports medicine field. Furthermore, Nyae’ is a CPR certified lifeguard, Maryland State Chiropractic Assistant and will pursue a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification at the end of the Fall 2024 semester. Ultimately, Nyae’ looks forward to giving back to the community she once trained in and has helped shape her into who she is today.

Coach Jerzie
Jerzie, a standout athlete from Chesapeake High School, earned the title of Maryland Player of the Year and led her team to a Maryland State 3A Championship. She began her collegiate career at Division I Longwood University in the Big South Conference before transferring to the UMBC Retrievers, a four-time America East Champion program. Since her arrival at UMBC, Jerzie has been a consistent starter, excelling as both a dominant pitcher and a reliable outfielder.
During her sophomore season, she was named America East Pitcher of the Week and ranked among the top four on her team in home runs and slugging percentage. As a junior, Jerzie pitched 72 innings with a 3.10 ERA and contributed offensively with 17 RBIs, 6 doubles, 4 home runs, and 17 runs scored. Off the field, Jerzie's dedication to academics earned her a spot on the America East All-District Academic Team, boasting an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.82.
Jerzie's talent, hard work, and leadership continue to make her a key player for UMBC.
